WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY APARTMENT?  IT DEPENDS! REFER TO YOUR LEASE AGREEMENT FIRST.  STUDENT APARTMENTS COME FULLY FURNISHED AND OUR RESIDENTIAL APARTMENTS MAY RESERVE A FURNITURE PACKAGE AT A MINIMAL CHARGE. 


AM I ALLOWED TO HAVE A PET?  ONLY SELECT BUILDINGS IN THE EDINBORO APARTMENT RENTALS COMPLEX ARE PERMITTED TO HAVE PETS.  EACH PET HAS TO BE REGISTERED WITH THE OFFICE AND A PET AGREEMENT MUST BE COMPLETED AND THE PET FEE MUST BE PAID IN FULL.


DO I HAVE TO MAINTAIN THE LANDSCAPING AROUND MY APARTMENT?  NO, WE HAVE A FULL TIME MAINTENANCE CREW THAT KEEPS THE PROPERTY LOOKING GREAT!


IF I HAVE TO PUT ELECTRIC IN MY OWN NAME, WHO DO I CALL?  LESSEES MUST USE PENELEC FOR THEIR ELECTRIC PROVIDER.  CLICK HERE FOR THE EASY STEPS ON HOW TO TRANSFER SERVICE TO YOUR OWN ACCOUNT. 


WHERE DO I GET MAIL?  OUR TOWNHOUSES (SHETLAND, ORKNEY, ABERDEEN, ANGUS, BRUCE, BUCHANON, GWYNNE AND MCDING) HAVE THE MAILBOXES OUTSIDE OF THE APARTMENT.  FOR ALL OTHER APARTMENTS, THE MAILBOXES ARE LOCATED INSIDE THE COMMUNITY CENTERS.  


HOW DO I GET PACKAGES DELIVERED?  THE POSTAL CARRIER (USPS, UPS, OR FEDEX) WILL ATTEMPT TO DELIVER IT AT YOUR APARTMENT DOOR.  IF YOU ARE NOT HOME, THEY WILL BRING IT TO THE OFFICE. 


CAN I BRING MY CAR/IS THERE PARKING?  YES.  EACH RESIDENT WILL RECEIVE A PARKING PERMIT FOR THEIR FREE PARKING SPOT. EACH BUILDING HAS IT'S OWN PARKING AREA IN THE PARKING LOT.  GUESTS TO THE APARTMENTS WILL NEED TO STOP BY THE OFFICE TO RETRIEVE A GUEST PARKING PERMIT.


WHERE CAN I PURCHASE CABLE FOR MY APARTMENT?  THERE ARE A FEW SERVICE PROVIDERS OF CABLE AND INTERNET IN EDINBORO.  WE USE COAXIAL CABLE.  RESIDENTS ARE PERMITTED TO USE WHICHEVER PROVIDER THEY WISH, AS LONG AS THERE ARE NOT SATELLITE DISH INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS.

WHAT NUMBER DO I CALL IN AN EMERGENCY?  IF IT IS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY OR POLICE/SAFETY/FIRE EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911.  IF WATER IS COMING INTO YOUR APARTMENT FROM THE UPSTAIRS APARTMENT, OR ANOTHER "EMERGENT" MAINTENANCE SITUATION IS OCCURING (A BURNT OUT LIGHT BULB IS NOT AN EMERGENCY - THIS NUMBER SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR FIRE, FLOOD, MAYHEM), PLEASE CALL 814.878.0541.  


WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOCK MY KEYS INSIDE OF MY APARTMENT?  OUR EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE LINE IS USED FOR ALL LOCK OUTS DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS.  IF YOU LOCK YOURSELF OUT OF YOUR APARTMENT, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, BETWEEN 9A AND 5P, SIMPLY STOP BY THE OFFICE TO BORROW THE KEY.


WHAT NUMBER DO I CALL IF I NEED SOMETHING FIXED IN MY APARTMENT? WORK ORDERS CAN BE SUBMITTED VIA THE RESIDENT PORTAL, OR YOU MAY STOP BY OR THE CALL THE OFFICE TO REPORT THEM.  IF YOU ARE LEAVING A VOICEMAIL OR SUBMITTING VIA THE RESIDENT PORTAL, PLEASE BE SURE TO MENTION IF MAINTENANCE HAS PERMISSION TO ENTER YOUR APARTMENT OR NOT IF YOU ARE NOT HOME. 


CAN I HANG ITEMS ON MY WALLS?  WHILE WE WANT YOU TO DECORATE YOUR APARTMENT TO YOUR LIKING, WE MUST RECEIVE THE APARTMENT BACK IN THE SAME CONDITION WHICH WE GAVE IT TO YOU.  YOU MAY HANG ITEMS ON YOUR WALLS, BUT PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS THAT THE HOLES CAN BE EASILY PAINTED OVER.  FOR THIS, WE RECOMMEND SMALL TACKS OR THUMB TACKS.  PLEASE DO NOT USE COMMAND STRIPS.
